
On Christmas Day, two students from the Federal Polytechnic in Oko were among the eleven passengers who were killed when their car crashed and burst into flames in Anambra state, killing them.
An accident involving three vehicles occurred on the Agulu Lake Bridge, near the Golden Tulip Hotel Agulu in the Anaocha Local Government Area, resulting in the deaths of three people.

Onabe, a Sector Public Education Officer, explained that the accident occurred as a result of a wrong overtaking and excessive speeding on the sloppy bridge, respectively.

According to reports, approximately 20 people were involved in the crash; four people were injured, two of whom were male adults and two of whom were female adults. There were a total of 11 people killed, including three male adults, one female child, and seven people who were trapped inside the L300 bus and were burned beyond recognition. Five passengers from the hijet bus were rescued alive and uninjured from the wreckage.
